I’m twenty-one and I still don’t know what I want to do with my life… My family and even several of my friends (boyfriend included; he’s younger than me, 19) all seem to be pressuring me about it. Telling me that “I’m an adult now, I need to find out what to do with my life.” I realize that I’m an adult! I’m not stupid. It’s not that easy to figure out what I want to do, though! And being pushed about it doesn’t help one bit. I don’t even have an idea of a dream job. I don’t even think I know what really makes me happy! Like, most people have something, a hook. A thing they do that they really love and enjoy–and that leads to their dream job. Gamers => video game designers. People who like to write => writers. People who like to draw => artists. I have some hobbies, but I don’t even know if I really enjoy them THAT much. I love gaming, base editting (making pixel “dolls”), singing (alone; stage fright, and the fact that I think my voice sucks), cooking (sometimes), animals, typing/writing (though I never can finish a story; writer’s block and boredom), and organizing/decorating things.
I’m freaked out because I don’t have a job (never had a “real” one to begin with, unless babysitting counts), I can’t get one yet because I have a breast reduction to hopefully get over with soon; I don’t have a diploma (quit high school at 11th grade) or a GED yet, I can’t drive for another year or two (or more, depending on the car insurance; had two wrecks in one month early last year)… I feel like I’m at rock-bottom, and nobody’s making it any easier!
What do I do…? Is this normal? Is this really wrong? Is this stupid…? HELP!

A new study says leading health and life insurance companies are major investors in the fast-food industry. Researcher at the Cambridge Health Alliance and Harvard Medical School found that US, Canadian and European-based insurance firms hold at least $1.88 billion in fast-food companies. The study’s authors say the holdings pose a conflict of interest in that overconsumption of fast food threatens the health and well-being of millions of Americans. Senior study author Dr. Wesley Boyd said, “Our data illustrate the extent to which the insurance industry seeks to turn a profit above all else. Safeguarding people’s health and well-being take a back seat to making money.”
And then Wal-Mart and other corporations further invested in this line of thinking actually developed an insurance product called “Dead Peasants”

And these companies, hold 8 lobbyists for every house and Congress member… Soft money fueling a “DEATH” industry! What do you call it when a society has an existing, well funded and unflinching policy of profitable mortality for it’s citizenry ? CONSPIRACY THEORY ? Sure Harvard is big on conspiracy theories, and the “Dead Peasant” policy is written about and explained by the Insurance Lawyer who’s link I posted..
I love people who use the CT excuse to cover up glaring injustices to the American Population.. where’s the Tea Baggers on this one ?

People point out how medical bills lead to bankruptcy. How about sudden death of a spouse? Shouldn’t the government supply an innsurance payout for all citizens just like they do with military personnel or at the very least, provide a subsidy for people who can’t afford their own life insurance? It could easily be paid for by taxing the life insurance policies of people who can afford it. Rich people buy policies and if/when they die, their benefactors have to pay NO taxes on the proceeds. How unfair is that? James has the right idea! Why should we pay for food when it’s even more necessary than health care? After all, it comes from dirt, water and sunlight that are all basically free! They were here before we were born and will be after we’re dead. Just because someone has hoarded them doesn’t mean we should have to pay exorbitant amounts to use them.
